Now DRDO (Defence Research and Development Organisation) is developing “Rat Cyborgs” for security operation. Mouse or cyborgs rat can be used to gather security information on the enemy side, including a audio and video feed. Indian army to include ‘remote controlled’ animal cyborgs in its army. During military operations, the army will use these”Cyborg Rat” to locate enemy positions before they attack.

DRDO is developing living rat robots called “Rat Cyborgs”

P Shiv Prasad, director of DRDO’s Young Scientists Laboratory in Hyderabad, said the rat cyborg is a rat-borne organism created in a standard laboratory, with an electrode implanted in its brain that can receive signals from the outside. There will also be a small camera on the head of these cyborgs rat for taking pictures.

During the “26/11 attack”, militants took over buildings such as the Taj Mahal Hotel in Mumbai, the Nariman Building and others. Security forces surrounded the building from the outside, but they had no way of knowing what was happening inside. But what if security forces, in a situation like the 26/11 attack, got live video of the situation from inside the building?.

The rest of the work became very easy for the Indian army. These animal cyborgs can help the Indian Army with this job. The use of police dogs is common among security forces, from the police to the military. However, the mouse may help provide a video feed to the opponent without their knowledge. Indian defense scientists have developed these rat cyborgs in the laboratory.

according to media reports, the work on the project began a year ago. Now it is in the second stage. According to The Times of India, the project is about to take shape. The 108th Indian Science Congress discussed about the project. P Shiv Prasad, Director of Asymmetric Technologies at DRDO’s Young Scientists Laboratory, also presented the project. He said “Our goal is to gather intelligence by manipulating rodents with electronic commands through semi-invasive brain electrodes. In the second part, we will go non-invasive. Instead of inserting electrodes into the brain, The PCB is mounted on top of the skull. The animal will be controlled externally using a remote. The mouse will respond to the command and move to the right or to the left.”

Animal cyborgs are already being used in many countries. It is also strongly used in countries like China, America and other developed countries as well. According to a report, in 1994, the US Air Force suggested the use of insects and animals as war weapons and spying instruments.

What are Cyborgs?

Cyborgs are creatures with both organic and synthetic parts, often used to enhance abilities. The term “cyborg” is an acronym for “cybernetic organisms” and refers to organisms that have both biological and artificial components. Cyborgs often appear in science fiction and may have abilities such as enhanced strength, speed or intelligence. However, the concept of cyborgs is not limited to science fiction; some people with prosthetic limbs or other types of artificial body parts may be considered cyborgs.

What are animal Cyborgs?

Animal cyborgs, also known as cybernetic organisms or biohybrid systems, are animals enhanced or modified with artificial or cybernetic components. These modifications can be functional, such as implanting a device that allows a paralyzed animal to walk again, or cosmetic, such as using a prosthetic to improve the animal’s appearance. Animal robots are often created for research purposes to better understand how animals and technology interact, or to explore the potential benefits and ethical implications of using cybernetic enhancements on animals.

What is Cyborg Rat?

Cyborgs Rat are mice that have been genetically modified or surgically enhanced to perform specific tasks or functions. This could include the implantation of sensors or other devices that allow mice to perform tasks or respond to stimuli in specific ways, or genetic modification that alters the mice’s physical or cognitive abilities. Cyborg rats have been used in a variety of research settings, including studies of brain function, behavior, and the effects of various drugs or interventions. They can also be used in practical applications such as search and rescue or environmental monitoring.

Difference between Cyborg, Android and Robot?

A cyborg is a being that has both organic and man-made components. The word “cyborg” is short for “cybernetic organisms”. Essentially, a cyborg is a creature that has both biological and technological parts. It may include prosthetics, organs or other body parts. The term “cyborg” was coined in 1960 by Manfred Clynes and Nathan S. Kline to describe the concept of augmenting the human body with technology. Robots are often described in science fiction as having superhuman abilities, such as enhanced strength, speed or intelligence.

An android is a robot that looks and behaves like a human. Androids are often described in science fiction as having artificial intelligence and being able to perform tasks that typically require human-like intelligence and dexterity.

A robot is a machine that can perform various tasks automatically. Robots are usually programmed to perform specific functions, and they can be autonomous or controlled by a human operator. Robots are used in a wide variety of fields, including manufacturing, transportation, healthcare, and military applications. They may be designed to look like people or animals, or they may have a more utilitarian appearance.

Briefly, a cyborg is an entity with both organic and synthetic components, an android is a robot designed to look and behave like a human, and a robot is a machine capable of performing various tasks automatically.
